Culinary gems from the 1970s
Inspired by Rose Red's posting Fifties Flashback, I thought I'd share a gem handed down from my mother in law. Does anyone know what these are called?

My daughter used to *love* cocktail onions when she was little, like around 2! If we went anywhere where they were out, she'd devour the whole plate. Weird kid ;)

I thought hedgehogs are the meatballs with long grain rice that pops out when you boil them.
